In Topic: Lenovo ThinkPad T420 with UEFI Only

i use OEM cos my OS must be able to boot T420 and 460 even i don't owe it any more
in january i'll have a elitebook 840 or 820 instead of my T420.
--
for unknown reason remove the custom kexts from /L/E and run sudo kextcache -i /
did not work if no extra kexts are in/L/E the only way to make it work is to boot with (injects kexts after space in clover GUI)
otherwise, it boot but never go outside of back screen after progressing bar

i also use Onyx

Does this mean no more support for the T420?

Thanks

tluck,

Do you think High Sierra will work on this laptop when fully released?
Have you tested it at all?

Thanks

Oz isn't intended for use with Notebooks, due its nature. If you don't have any dual BIOS/BIOS crash protection, it will brick your notebook if something goes wrong and then it needs reflash and a lot of headache in the process. You don't want that to happen.

I don't mind. I have a spare one. Would love to test it.

Hi all, I'm looking to get this working with my np540u3c ultrabook. I would love to be able to boot into osx without the need of Clover.

I hope someone can help. Thanks

i am traveling this week and will not have access to my T420 to test the installer.

one thing you could do to get the installer past any graphics issues is to inject a bogus id.

boot up the clover - but go to the Options menu (hit arrow)
then in the graphics section, change device ID from 0x0000 to 0x12345678

this will boot in non HD3000 mode..

tluck, this is not related to the t420 but would this bogus id work for a HD 4000?

Thanks
