There seem to be an issue with building a bootable USB with 10.8.3. At least with my graphics card (Radeon 6870) the boot stops with a white screen. I don't know of any way to solve this so make sure you don't have this issue before deleting your <10.8.3 "Install Mac OS X" app.

@tseug: Do you have a solution for my issues?
My only solution is to follow step 1 which tells you to buy Mountain Lion. If you, for any reason, do not follow this step you are on your own.

This method was created (and tested) for the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 motherboard but it should be relatively easy to modify for any other motherboard.
You will be creating a Boot USB that can be used to install OS X Mountain Lion on a Hackintosh (or a genuine mac for that matter).
Clean install
Prerequisites
A USB drive (8 GB) or a spare partition. We'll assume you'll use a USB device here
An install partition for OS X Mountain Lion. Let's call it MountainLion
A DSDT.aml (optional)
v2.1: install.zip
Directions
Buy and download Mac OS X Mountain Lion from the App Store.
In Disk Utility, format the USB as Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) and give it some name: We'll use Boot here but it can be anything. Make sure that "GUID Partition Table" is selected under "Options..."
If you already have a custom DSDT.aml you wish to use, add it to install/Extra/. Note that if you add a custom DSDT, it must be named DSDT.a...

Use ALC885HDA_Lion_MLion_V1.00.zip from here. It works for me with layout id 12.
That is,Copy Platforms.xml.zlib and layout12.xml.zlib to /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/Resources/
Copy ALC885HDA.kext to /System/Library/Extensions
Edit DSDT as described in the readme
touch /System/Library/Extensions
reboot

Also, please tell me the OP will update this script for Mountain Lion once it is released later this month?
OP, FTW on this script. Works perfectly on my GA-P35-DS4!
I will probably update it for Mountain Lion. Although, if the rumour holds (launch date july 25) it probably won't be on launch day as I am on holiday at the time.
FavleX, on , said:..any suggestions to solve that?
In the mean time an old partition 10.5 is bootable..can I copy something from that to solve? Or I relaunch the finalize script..?
You might need additional kexts and/or changing org.chameleon.Boot.plist . I don't know how to deal with hardware I can't test.

"The first thing to understand is that hackers actually like hard problems and good, thought-provoking questions about them. If we didn't, we wouldn't be here. If you give us an interesting question to chew on we'll be grateful to you; good questions are a stimulus and a gift. Good questions help us develop our understanding, and often reveal problems we might not have noticed or thought about otherwise. Among hackers, “Good question!” is a strong and sincere compliment.
Despite this, hackers have a reputation for meeting simple questions with what looks like hostility or arrogance. It sometimes looks like we're reflexively rude to newbies and the ignorant. But this isn't really true.
What we are, unapologetically, is hostile to people who seem to be unwilling to think or to do their own homework before asking questions. People like that are time sinks — they take without giving back, and they waste time we could have spent on another question more inte...

How to update to 10.7.4:
1. Update (Combo or Software update).
2. Boot into USB
3. Rerun finalize
4. Reboot into your installation. Done.
kernel.log gives some error messages regarding SMC::smcReadKeyAction and SMC::smcInitHelper in 10.7.4 but it doesn't seem to have any adverse effects.

Note that the current version uses a Chameleon with the so called Facetime and iCloud fix which is reported to cause trouble for RAID installs
