Should the USA extradite a UK hacker?

23 January 2009 - 03:16 PM

See this link for more background information ...

I have a friend with Asperger's Syndrome who also has excellent hacking skills. I wonder if it goes hand-in-hand ...

Apple's first Macintosh turns 25

I found this amusing -

To be honest, I actually owned the original Amiga not Mac but also have fond memories of things loading relatively quickly (seconds not minutes!) from 880k floppy disks. Even resuming from hibernation my modern desktops take quite a while to settle down. Rose-tinted spectacles I think.

The ultimate OSx86 Boot-CD project ...

18 October 2008 - 02:48 PM

*Hopefully* coming soon : An all-in-one BootCD.ISO that merges the best community tools -

1. Build a bootable, totally unmodified retail vanilla Leopard installation using only the retail DVD or an image of it
2. Build and burn a custom, slipstreamed Leopard distribution designed exclusively for your own hardware from any existing distribution and/or required disablers and drivers
3. Repair existing broken OSx86 installations with cross-platform OSx86 lifeboat tools
4. Upgrade older installs with latest bootloaders, kernels, kext disablers and driver kexts/.pkgs ...
5. Multiboot GUI installer for various essential system/tweak/test/benchmarking/etc. tools

Codename: A.M.O.E.B.A. (Pick your own words for the acronym!)

The only disk you should ever need other than a retail Leopard DVD ...

PS - This is currently only really a pipe-dream but hopefully the various secret projects currently under way can be merged into the ultimate bootable utility cd ...

Finally, some links suggesting my dream is not really that far off -
