#2094281 iCloud, AppStore, iMessage NOT WORKING !

Posted by DarwinX on 11 December 2014 - 07:42 PM

I'll wait for some one to release a Simple FIX  Good luck with that. There will never be a "Simple FIX" as this is not a simple issue. If you are unable or unwilling to put in the requisite effort, you will not have iMessage/Facetime.

#2080523 New OS X compatible motherboard -> QUO

Update re: NVIDIA drivers and 650 Ti. I keep getting a prompt from the NVIDIA control panel about CUDA driver "update required."This apparently is a known issue amongst the Mac Pro community using NVIDIA drivers, and are awaiting another CUDA driver update. When I revert back to OS X graphics drivers, I keep getting the same panic/error on startup/shutdown, so I will keep it on the NVIDIA driver for now, despite the annoying update prompt.  [when reverting back to NVIDIA driver it seems to require 2-3 attempts/reboots...] According to fantomas1: for those who have the last nvidia web driver (this also concerns the previous releases) and have the 'CUDA Driver update required' message with the last CUDA 6.5.18 driver version, here's the fix: Go to /Library/Frameworks/CUDA.framework/Versions/A/Resources then open Info.plist. Find <key>NVDAResmanVersions</key> and add this: <key>...

So guys, Long time, Yosemite party over weekend ?  :wink_anim: Only if the Sleep functionality is somewhat viable on my XPS M1530 which is probably not the case under the OS 10.10.

Wow! Thank you very much! Anyway i am having troubles: - DSDT (10/29/2011) + AppleHDA (attached) + Removed all VoodooHDA and HDADisabler: No sounds devices detected. Do I need to patch this DSDT(@immo's 10/29/2011)? I am trying to patch.. but i dont know how :S. I try to use chameleon wizzard Perhaps, you would have more success with this latest iteration of the VoodooHDA.kext version 2.8.6:  VoodooHDA.kext-v2.8.6.zip 161.17KB 6 downloads  VoodooHDA_V286_MAV.pkg.zip 1.71MB 7 downloads

@raimdal,Did you delete your native trackpad prefpane?  I deleted the file from my dropbox because it is quite a large file (approx 100MB) and you can extract it for yourself from your Mavericks installer anyway (search the "Essentials.pkg" with the Pacifist.app).  If you are really desperate and have lost your installer, let me know & I will re-up for a week or so (it takes a few hours to upload the damn thing!). The native Trackpad.prefPane is a mere 3 MB after you remove the useless touchpad tutorial videos which reside in its Contents/Resources directory.I have already uploaded it a few posts earier.

I've tried the kext but the tap and also the left button was out of control, I need to tap 3 or4 times to have the left click. Could be the different panel? do you use the new kext without problems? Only the scroll was better, less speed and more natural scroll. In the comments I've read multitouch but the only thing I've is the two fingers scroll. Do you have zoom and others function with the new kext? I'm not sure which kext you are referring to exactly; perhaps, you should express yourself with more clarity. If you're referring to the Rehabman's branch of the VoodooPS2Controller.kext, then my experience with it is limited as my current VoodooPS2Controller.kext version 1.1,which I have been using for years, is fully operational on my system. I do believe that the Rehabman's branch of the VoodooPS2Controller.kext is supposed to be compatible with the Apple's native TrackPad.prefpane which obviously eliminates the need for a modified Trackpad.prefpane.  TrackPad.p...

hi Darwinx can you upload the original prefpanel for the new alps kext? thank you. The linked dropbox folder doesn't work anymore I did delete the Dropbox hackintosh file collection as it required constant updating, and there didn't seem to be much of an interest for it. Good to know. I know it worked before. Just wish I could figure out why iStat keeps wigging out on me now. On my system, the latest release of the iStat Menus.app version 4.20 also fails to load and crashes under both the OS X 10.8.5 and 10.9.1.

For those of you who are interested, here is my latest and most complete SMBios.plist which reflects all of the latest Chameleon SMBios developments.   Reference forum thread: http://www.insanelym...taller-binaries   The main benefit of this improved SMBios implementation is a more complete and accurate bdmesg output with automatically masked serial numbers under the main branch of Chameleon.    Insert your own uniquely generated serial numbers and leave the blank fields blank to allow those fields to be auto generated by the Chameleon via the bdmesg.  <plist><dict><key>SMbiosdate</key><string>05/05/09</string><key>SMbiosvendor</key><string>Apple Computer, Inc.</string><key>SMbiosversion</key><string>MBP51.88Z.007E.B05.0905051508</string><key>SMboardassettag</key><string></string><key>SMboardlo...

I often use the console app to diagnose problems in OSX and thought I'd share some solutions to a few common errors that can spam the console.  These errors can also cause excessive CPU use when you leave the console open: SMC Errors egPM kernel[0]: SMC::smcInitHelper ERROR: MMIO regMap == NULL - fall back to old SMC mode---->on bootPM kernel[0]: SMC::setPowerState ERROR: smcPublishSleepCause failed (kSMCKeyNotFound)----->after sleep/wakePM kernel[0]: SMC::smcReadKeyAction ERROR F7ID kSMCBadArgumentError(0x89) fKeyHashTable=0x0xffffff8011138400---->with HWmonitor plugins installed These can removed by regressing AppleSMC.kext to a 10.8.4 version (attached). The attached AppleSMC.kext version 3.1.6 is actually from the OS X 10.9.1.

For those still using Chameleon, some recent new developments in SMBIOS injection reported by G Vermelho. new chameleon wizard out now.  Unfortunately with respect to chameleon wizard, Janek states in his post "I think it will be one of the last versions. I don't know what else I could add to this app, and Chameleon's development has stopped" It might be time to consider changing bootloaders.....the grass is greener with Clover :yes:I too have been following the recent Chameleon SMBios development as is reflected in my last system files upload right above. While it is clear that the modern Clover does indeed exceed the archaic Chameleon in its functionality and range of use,I fail to see the logic in converting to the new generation UEFI boot loader. Practically, the Clover doesn't really offer anything of actual significance to our ancient hardware, but it does have a steep learning curve, especially for the noobs. Also, Janek's Clover incompatible...

I am using whatever DarwinX's latest DSDT iteration is; I'm not sure if it is Immo's exactly. I was under the impression that he had modified it slightly. Also, I believe that we have similar processors, but not quite the same.  I'd be up for inserting the SSDT tables into the DSDT.aml, and in fact I tried, but as I mentioned, there was some sort of error compiling the DSDT.aml after inserting them, and I couldn't find the error.  (Probably a hanging open bracket or brace somewhere, but I swear I counted pairs of them over and over and over again, and I couldn't find it.)  I guess I could try putting the SSDT in /Extra and see if it makes a difference before tackling the DSDT again.  Thoughts?I'm using the latest stock ANY CPU XPS M1530 DSDT.aml from the first post of this thread with a slew of modifications compiled in the last couple of years. Oh, and thanks for the kext.  it was apparently the one that I was missing. No problem!  :D DarwinX, I'm cryin...
