Posted by ameris cyning on 10 December 2014 - 06:10 PM

I'm using -v -f , but it seems to me, booting is not getting to the point where cache is used.  -f doesnt work with clover Use NoCaches instead

Meanwhile all of you are arguing but not one of you is explaining how to create a valid (one way or another) MLB/ROM value. It's "y'all".

I am well, thank you for asking. Need to get back into the game. An AMD Hackintosh would be the perfect way to bring myself back into the game

#1972024 Ameris experiments with sound so you don't have to

Posted by ameris cyning on 28 November 2013 - 01:56 PM

HELLO THERE! After screwing around for several months trying to get my Hack perfect, I always found one thing that I couldn’t take care of: sound. Yes, I know it is a small thing, and sound is relatively easy to get working. Thing is is that I like great sound, not just sound alone. The following notes are several months in the making. 1. INTEGRATED SOUND: BEST SOLUTION: Patched AppleHDA Integrated sound is the easiest choice out there because pretty much every motherboard has built in sound. Unfortunately, the quality is lacking (especially for electronic dance music fans). If you want great sound, look somewhere else. VoodooHDA is a good tool for those who want to set it and forget it, but voodoohda has some major quality problems that a patched AppleHDA does not. Whats even worse is that one can tell when one uses voodoohda over a patched AppleHDA. Thats how poor the quality is in voodoohda. Now, I am not gonna {censored} all over the good job t...

Your My saviour  :hysterical:  :thumbsup_anim:  :thumbsup_anim:  :thumbsup_anim:  :thumbsup_anim:  its work     B)  :D  :P TO  more min I am reinstall from scratch   :thumbsup_anim:  :hysterical:  thank you Man I really appreciate your help  B)  Glad I could help. Final suggestion: Open the Clover prefpane again and set it to auto. Setting it to always will keep boot flags through reboot, so if you were to type -x, it would always boot with -x until the NVRam is cleared

In the drop down menu "Save NVRAM contents to disk", select always  Reboot And if you are wondering, I am 10000000000% certain that this is nvram related.

#1969937 Oldest Computer on Linux?

Posted by ameris cyning on 20 November 2013 - 08:18 AM

Thats not old There are plenty of systems out there that still run Windows 98, and that config (500MHz, 5GB hard drive, 64MB RAM) could be an excellent computer. But, I don't have one of those. Maybe I can compile an old Linux kernel (pre-1994) on a Commodore 128?

#1967157 Let my people go!

Posted by ameris cyning on 12 November 2013 - 11:34 PM

No, I disagree: that will make the development forums more focused on development, like they always should have been, instead of cluttered with support requests. In fact, I'm really needing help to moderate all the new topics, and I made a request - yet to be answered - for some assiduous AMD users to help me with this. I didn't thought about including you on this list, but since you've been quite active in the AMD forums these days, perhaps you could also be enlisted. Well, it's up to Alessandro and Ed anyway. :) All the best!  Its my preparations on coming back to an AMD hackintosh. First of the month I am getting a new machine. I am certain I will be active in that sub forum.

Is it totally necessary that AMD should have their own sub forums in OSx86 installation forum? You are taking away a right that went back to Tiger. AMD and Intel were to be treated equally Now we have this. You have made them into second class citizens in their own home. They have suffered long enough. Please, Mr Alessandro17, tear down this wall! TL/DR version: Everything I said up there is a joke. But in all seriousness, should we really be shooing them into a sub forum that people probably wouldn't venture into? People who have AMD systems, with an easily, solvable problem not relating to it being an AMD processor machine, might get overlooked.

#1967048 Clover Themes

Posted by ameris cyning on 12 November 2013 - 05:21 PM

This is my themes, hope you guys love it  @blackosx, i wanna to know the way to creat font bitmap for clover, if you can tell me, i will appreciate that, tks  Hey! I saw that new theme today in Clover Configurator. Tried to download it through there and it gave me some sort of error "Archive was written in a newer format than what this software supports (it supports up to v2.0 archives)" Thank you for uploading it here. I fell in love with it when I saw it the first time. The only critique I have is concerning the badges. They just doesn't seem right. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe the borders on the font isn't thick enough (for the badges that have the big letter in them)? Background and other icons are awesome.

This might be a stupid post Anyways, tried it on my Haswell machine purely for the {censored} and giggles. I noticed the spinner (on the boot screen with the Apple logo) went super fast. Nothing happened after a few minutes, so I rebooted with -v It got all the way to Bluetooth successful (right before it hits the desktop) and stays there. This might be a hint: it threw off a few AppleSMC errors (standard malformed errors) /No I am not asking for support. I am just giving you an FYI.
