07 February 2017 - 10:35 PM

Apple will present next year macOS.
More higher than ever , more mac than OS.
A totally new design approach.
Get new MacOS Sierra Nevada , don't miss the hit.
We will see soon at next Apple speech event.
Don't be foolish, be different, get it.

DVD very old media

31 January 2017 - 12:15 PM

just for fun , i created a bootable OSX Sierra installation DVD.

Wow, i didn't remember how much time it takes to load before you can get install screen ... ( 11 minutes ...) ( even on Intel i5 quad-core and 8Gb of ram)

I stopped i don't want to know how much time it takes to fully install on HD......

However it remembers me when DVD was the only way to install OSX ...

Cheers :)

Switch from Chameleon to Clover and viceversa without reinstall

12 August 2016 - 10:44 PM

I want share my experience:
I have installed Enoch on my system ( legacy and MBR ) and all works fine.
I have osx Lion , MLion, Mavericks , Yosemite , El Capitan and Windows XP.

Because i like to experiment , i have created a Clover USB pen to boot into Hd and after i have configured it , i have been able to boot to all OSes without iusses.

Then the problem was to install Clover on Hd and because i didn't want to loose my prior bootloader , i do so :

On my hd active partition i had

/Extra folder and /boot

Then i renamed /boot to /boot-e
And i have copied
/Efi folder and boot file from Clover USB pen. Reboot
Clover boots fine from hd and when i want to boot Enoch , i change boot file on Hd and reboot.

No iusses , no reinstall bootloader anymore to switch from Clover to Enoch and viceversa.

Hint: it works because i have a legacy pc with MBR partitions and /Extra and /Efi folders don't interfere each other.

However i think it should be fine also with GPT and EFI partition.
I didn't try yet

I'm writing an Osx application to do the task:
- rename /copy / switch boot file
- reboot system.

When i have done it , i will post here

See Ya
