#2412795 [RYZEN] macOS 10.12.x (Sierra) Kernel Research&Development Thread

Posted by spakk on 26 April 2017 - 07:45 PM

I only read the first few pages, and then glossed over every other page. Seemed to me that Giga has had the most success thus far, and I believe he thanked people other than Bronya. I didn't see any screens directly from Bronya, so I was giving credit elsewhere to those who seemed to help aide in the development of the working kernel (i.e. reason for this thread). If you're busting my balls, I guess you got me, otherwise I was attempting to make my introduction as politely as possible :PDo not make wrong thoughts, we know how you mean that :) Gils is a decent man and with Bronya (he has implemented the kernel) is crucial to the success of macOS on Ryzen CPU! I think he's just misinterpreting it.

@GILSDid you sleep badly or do you have stress with your neighbor? I've never wrote here that I am responsible for the ryzen kernel.hey I am not ten years old to decorate with false laurels. I do not need that !!!! ^_^This should now be good, otherwise all word attacks against other users are deleted here without comment and now please go to the topic.

Done but many probs with USBs,ethernet, and more..I am very tired but happy. Thanks again Ryzen.jpgWhy did you not install the upper USB drivers? B)What kind of motherboard do you use? enter your hardware specs in your signature ... please ...and you write even more errors, ..... which errors? Still not working, but progress? Things I've changed, I included spakk's files in post #44. And the instructions inside: delete these drives from System/Library/Extensions/ ==> IOUSBFamily.kext, IOUSBMAssStorageDriver.kext, IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext. and AMD - users must remove also these too: ===> pmtelemetry.kext (caused problems during the creation of prelinked kernel !), AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext (makes kernel Panic!) and AppleTyMCEDriver.kext (makes MSR Error !) All drivers tested with Enoch bootloader with USB 3.0 GenericUSBXHCI.kext (current vers.) installed in to /Extra/Extensions/ Except I had to restore IOUSBFamily.kext because GenericUSBXHCI.kext...

Replacement for the obsolete "USB-FIX-V2 for El Capitan" kext driver package, which can now be applied to El Capitan and Sierra. 1.) add these drivers into S/L/Extensions: AHCIPortInjector.kext DummyUSBEHCIPCI.kext DummyUSBXHCIPCI.kext and GenericUSBXHCI.kext download-link: http://forum.amd-osx...eous-kexts.html or use the USB package, see appendix 2.) then generate an new prelinked kernel 3.) then restart the system, if all USB slots works and are displayed correctly in system information, then be happy. 4.)If mouse and keyboard do not work during login, then turn off your system and boot with a different OS X version and add these drivers in Extra/Extensions/ VoodooPS2Controller.kext   VoodooPS2Keyboard.kext VoodooPS2Mouse.kext VoodooPS2Trackpad.kext (If a laptop is in use, otherwise do not use) the PS2 kexts are for PS2 devices. eg Mouse and Keyboard or Trackpad use the Voodoo drivers package, see appendix 5.) then restart the system, if everything works, then be...

Thanks Dude!   There's no way I could've done it without you.    i figured out your USB fix, works great!   I'll check in there and report your greatness, thanks again.    I'll post more specs and screenshots of my config and bios settings. I picked up a Nvidia GT 210, and 8400.   I'll test those as well as the AMD 5450 and R7 265 (R9 270X).     This little sub $200 4 core 8 thread is pretty smooth right now even with 0mb graphics. Ryzen 5 1500X Geekbench.pngRyzen 5 1500X Luxmark.pngthis afternoon, we will made undo the changes you've made in S/L/E ==>the  installing of the USB-FIX for EL Capitan. Since the USB-FIXes are absolete. Shane has shown me tonight a better alternative, I've worked the night on it and now all USB slots are displayed correctly and all USB slots work wonderfully. This method will work on all hackintosh, whether intel or amd that will not matter.

Congratulations Gigamaxx for the hard work :D :thumbsup_anim: But there should still be something possible to realize the full graphics accelerationeither via driver patch or via dsdt injectionBut you can already upload the current ioreg and the dsdt, so that someone can modify the dsdt with the injection either for the nvidia or for the Sapphire Radeon R9 270X

Right now I have a Nvidia gt 710, I can get gt 210 or also 8400gs from Nvidia. These are available locally in stores. For AMD only r7 240, 250 models available. I'll check more into it later. I need to fix the USB issue after work. Thanks Bronya, with Sierra I can use my RX 480 with a helper card like this 710 if it works. I've done it before and have a long history with the RX 4XX cards in sierra. Can't wait for Vega 10 to come out. Try not to use -x -s -f -F for flags at boot. @ Gigamaxx,Which GT710 is installed? maybe this one: https://skinflint.co...l-a1478179.html if so, this is a how-to by "corei3cpu" from a page that name not allowed to publish here:    Spoiler Hello, Here is an Nvidia GT 710 graphics card with 1gb. of ram This is a minimal budget graphics card for macOS Sierra. Comes with Low Profile bracket for SFF computers. Will support Dual 1080p Displays via HDMI and DVI ports. Works with Sleep / Wake. Supports Display power management. Fanles...

#2411048 Clover uefi mode on AMD

Posted by spakk on 24 April 2017 - 11:51 AM

Hi there, I installed Sierra on my pc, with an AMD FX 9370, I installed clover in uefi mode, but I can't boot, I'm booting with help of a pendrive with enoch. I used a clover configuration to edit config.plist and add a boot flags in boot section; I added, -v  npci=0x2000, and I generated a smbios. When I boot with clover, I choose mac from my machdd, and the screen turns black and apear "+" symbols,  and nothing more, it stays that way, not reboot, nothing. Someone know how to configure the clover in order to boot on AMD?Yes, as carlo described above, is it useful to write your request in the upper link and it is also useful to upload your EFI folder to make adjustments for your system.

So does anybody know how to fix it?Hey Aleg, with what cpu are you trying to boot the kernel? helloi just upgraded ..yep you read it right with the combo upgrade from 10.12.1 to 10.12.4 removed the usual kext use kernel 10.12.4_test2 and it booted just complaining about Nvidia drivers that was a easy fix no i get a lot of couldn't find symbol errors but everything is working what are those? can i somehow get rid of them?  TBAThe phenoman with the symbol loop is explained a thousand times here! you must install the System.kext which is located in the kernel package, which will disable the loop. If the System.kext should not be uploaded then contact the coder of the kernel  Hello, I have tried to work...
