and this is the Extra for the Acer W700 hybrid Tablet, running off a SSD usb drive with modded DSDT working for hdmi external monitor, as my Acer W700 uses eDP LCD, so cannot work on its screen. however, if you are lucky enough to have purchased a model with LDVS LCD, then it will work for your screen. I asked what was missing in a previous post because disk drives other than usb did not show up, the better question was what was added. When I add the DSDT.aml then if booted the hard disks stop being recognised, so the DSDT I got destroys info on sata drives, by removing it, Yosemite is perfectly capable without the need for the DSDT in the case of Dell Dim 9200. It will be interesting to see the behaviour with another machine. I needed the DSDT just to load the installer, and installed to usb, then cloned the usb to hard disk, but if I put the dsdt on hard disk, and try to boot from hard disk, I then getStill waiting for root device. So I remove DSDT.aml, and not use it for a completed Yosemite install on hard disk. Booting the usb Yosemite with DSDT.aml also does not show hard disks and so needs to be removed in my case. That might point to having more tinkering to do to DSDT.aml for hard disk recognition. Also the setting kext-dev-mode=1 is ess...

If you typing -f I think Extra Extensions load ?No worries, It's mostly all working now. I did as you suggested and cloned the resulting installed usb (I cannot boot from it because it is not recognised as hard disk, but it did the trick). Now I got even QE/CI with same setup as Mavericks/MLion, etc. The only thing I have to use the install usb to boot it because Yosemite is not in the first partition of the Hard Disk, does not bother me. All Hard Disks are now recognised, so E/E got loaded, but I am curious why they were not loaded on installation, there must be something missing, because when it is installed, all hard drives can now be seen!!! I am saving the installed usb as backup, precious backup, and I might get a more expensive usb stick that is recognised as hard disk to load Yosemite on my hybrid Acer W700 tablet/laptop which I worked on earlier, I can only use an external hdmi monitor though with that one.
