I need to install OSX on a Thinkpad T510: http://www.thinkwiki...i/Category:T510

It has a Intel® Core™ i5 processor i5-520M (2.40 GHz) with dual core, Intel HD Graphics, ThinkPad 11b/g/n Wireless LAN Mini-PCI Express Adapter II (Realtek RTL8192SE / RTL8188CE), etc.

I worked through a lot of general OSX El Capitan install tutorials but I never got to the install stage (with all kinds of errors). Is it impossible to install 10.11 on my T510?

Can somebody help me? Maybe with a minimal tutorial (just a config.plist and a kext-archive). Then I create the USB stick, replace the Clover config.plist and copy the kexts to Clover's 10.11 kext folder.

Above is link to active conversation for El Cap on the T510.  I'm running it fairly successfully right now as a matter of fact.

I'm not sure what else to tell you. The frame buffer is patched correctly, I'm not sure what's going on with your computer. I guess as a last resort you could technically use the yosemite frame buffer on El Capitan and see if that does anything.

I know...  I believe you 100%.  As for the other FB from Yosemite, I tried that one also, but it ends up with a scrambled screen,  this is so weird.  I need to use Natit until DSDT is patched though, right?  Last time it took me a while to get it all working but eventually it did.  Might I need to force the resolution or inject Intel in the clover settings?

The framebuffer that matches this in El Capitan is SingleLink Normal LW1. It should work just fine so you might be suffering from another issue.

Same response to you. This computer is compatible so something is wrong with your installation. Though I do not understand why you chose not to patch your DSDT so that you eliminate Natit.kext forever.

You were right.  It's the (supposedly properly patched) DSDT I have.  I eliminated and it boots to desktop just fine without the FB without QE/CI.  However still no luck with normal LW1 patched frame buffer.  I'll keep trying the LW1 versions and see if I luck out.  At least I get to a workable system though.

Hey GhostRaider, would you mind taking a look at my Yosemite FB and let me know what will work for El Cap?  I have tried ALL the frame buffers in your file, and none of them work for me, this is the file that works properly for my Yosemite install.

It's just not firing up the graphics, looks like the system itself is running just fine, no errors, just ends at a stalled console in El Capitan.  It just never flips on the GUI from there and sits.

Running into the same issue.  Any success?  This is mystifying...
