In Topic: OS X Yosemite DP's builds!

Reinstall the update? Mine failed as well and I just booted up again and ran it one more time, worked like a charm.

****************************************************

I'm also curious if anyone else is not able to turn on Automatic Login for the main account?  It will let me enable it for a Guest User, but not for my main user.  Can anyone else confirm this or is it just me?

Well, I tried to run the pkg file from /Library/Updates/ that said there was an error and can't complete the installation...Then I noticed the appstore isn't loading up anything just the empty grey background with the MAS logo. Then I tried to logout, it loggedout to full empty grey screen then my desktop loaded up again on by it's own without going to the login screen lol. After that I rebooted and now kernelpanic on bootscreen. {censored}. XD

I think I'll just wait for DP4 or final and do a clean install... :D

I updated through MAS, restarted, it showed up the "Finishing installation" screen, that went to full as it should, then Desktop came as it should, and I'm still on DP2. wat.

So... now what?

In Topic: iMessage & Facetime is not working

so what you actually need is mlb and mac address ethernet (off course ethernet must be en 0) fromregistered device or hardware on apple server, try this and i hope it will solve your iMessage login issue, except for amd machine, i don't know how it works

if you're using clover, make sure you have EmuVariableUefi-64.efi in drivers64UEFI's folder
1. open clover configurator
2. goto Rt Variables section, put MLB value = C02K7438DRVCN1S5A and ROM value = UEZdNpmp
3. goto SMBIOS section, put SmUUID value =
9DFF0000-3C12-0539-FFFF-50465D3699A9
4. and then reboot

if you're using chameleon, make sure you have nvram-smuuid.plist (example on my notebook is
nvram.9dff0000-3c12-0539-ffff-50465d3699a9.plist) in Extra's folder, if you don't have, try to find working nvram module for your hardware (currently i'm using nvram.lib 1.1.3 and chameleon 2377)
1. open terminal
2. sudo nvram 4D1EDE05-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B38C14:MLB=C02K7438DRVCN1S5A
3. sudo nvram 4D1EDE05-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B38C14:ROM=PF]6%99%a9
or alternatively you can manually edit file above with text editor (I'm using PlistEditor) and change MLB value (without quote) = "QzAySzc0MzhEUlZDTjFTNUE=" and ROM value (without quote) = "UEZdNpmp"
4. and then reboot

Well if everyone starts using those same values, it will be banned...

One "built-in" is for the card itself, the 2nd one is for the display I'm using - as you can see it's "@3,built-in". I put it like this, because I thought that maybe I will be able to skip the "blackout" between boot.efi and WindowServer initiation. When I remove "@3,AAPL,boot-display",there is no logo at all - only gray screen with black stripe which looks like progress bar.

PS Do you guys know if there is a possibility to edit values from IOService? I'd like to add one value to NVDA, but it's not visible inside IODeviceTree - so I suppose I can't edit it inside DSDT.

IOService:/AppleACPIPlatformExpert/PCI0@0/AppleACPIPCI/P0P2@1/IOPCI2PCIBridge/GFX0@0/NVDA,Display-A@0/NVDA

I'm talking about these two:

...
"@3,built-in",
Buffer (Zero) {},
"built-in",
Buffer (Zero)
{
0x01
},

"hda-gfx",
Buffer (0x0A)
{
"onboard-2"
},

"built-in",
Buffer (Zero) {}

}, Local0)
...

Btw I have macpro3,1 smbios and I still get the black boot screen... Why is that happening if it's checks the board id? I have the proper macpro3,1 board-id (Mac-F42C88C8) injected into smbios.
