I had thiis interesting discussion in a sauna recently (..don't ask, skiing with geekfriends sometime have interesting effects ;P), about first generation of things released in the high-tech business.
With all the pressue on getting products to the market, the quality tend to decrease. I think this issue is most common in the computing(Mobile phones etc count aswell) business, havn't heard any reports of a rev.2 bridge or similar
I got motivated to post this here, after reading about an issue with graphic artifacts on the intel iMacs with extra GPU memory, however, I just got way tired and forgot all the examples I was to mention.. ohwell, let's get down to the point and i'll leave the real bitching to you guys, i'm sure many of you bought firstgen products that you where dissapointed and amazed (of the low quality) about.
What makes people buy first-generation stuff? It sucks
