Problems starting Installation from clover

19 June 2014 - 08:34 PM

I plan to install OS X Mavericks on my PC. See components below.

Clover UEFI method is the install method of my choice.
I created a flash stick. (DiskMakerX then clover installer).
I'm booting from the stick and see the Clover bootloader menu. When I select the Mavericks Iinstallation volume and hit enter - nothing happens!

On rampagedev's website I read that I have to replace VBoxHfs-64.efi with HFSPlus.efi.
I did. Now I can select the Install Partition. But the only thing I see after that is a white (or grey?) screen and the spinning beachball mouse pointer.

How can I install Mavericks with clover on my system. Is my graphic card not supported?

Which UEFI Bios settings do I really need?
Thanks for help. I need to get this system running!

My System:
Intel E31230V2 Xeon Processor
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H
Gigabyte Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti

Currently the best Install Method? Something like kakewalk?

14 May 2014 - 03:18 PM

I used Kakewalk Install Method before. But this seems that the project is not beeing continued.

The last version does not support Mavericks.

I read about Vietnam Installer. But this is just meant to be used after the OS is installed on the harddrive.

And the Tony-things are from the "dark side" aren't they?

So please tell me which tool would you use for creating a Mavericks Boot Stick

and to install bootloader, kexts, DSDT...

In Kakewalk I liked the possibility to chose the mainboard and the installer autamatically installs all extra-stuff needed.

Thanks for help!

GA-P67A-UD7-B3, Intel Xeon E3-1230V2, How to install 10.9?

24 October 2013 - 03:57 PM

Hello to all hackintosh experts,

I want to run Mavericks on the following system:

Board: Gigabye GA-P67A-UD7-B3 (newest BIOS version)
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230V2
Graphic: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 Ti

Are my components suitable for this purpose?

What's the best way to install a reliable system that

- needs as few as possible kexts and other modifications
- utilizes the full potential of my hardware

I'm no specialist.
But I'm technically skilled and ready to learn!!! ;)
Please give something like a step-by-step guide!

I have experience in using Kakewalk and #####/Unibeast.
But I'm not very satisfied with the results.

Please help.
Thank you very much!

PS: I don't need USB 3.0 absolutely
