AMD FX 8120/ASROCK N68C

04 March 2013 - 05:00 AM

Hello!
I am not new to the world of mac as I have owned my macbook pro laptop for a few years now, although I also own a PC and would like to install hackintosh on it.
The problem is, It is an AMD PC and I know for AMC computers the hardware compatability can become spotty.

I have been following a tuttorial titled "AMD Phenom Hackintosh Snow Leopard 10.6.8 Retail instructions!"

Within that tuttorial it states to gather the following files:
Retail Update DVD 10.6.3
Nawcom CD
Nawcom gibts USB

I have downloaded all the necessary files that are listed on that tutorial although I can not get passed the begining steps.
Here are the first steps to complete in BIOS settings:

1st Load Optimized Defaults (Reboot)
2nd Sata set in AHCI mode
3rd AMD C1E mattering (Disabled)
4th  ACPI Suspend Mode to S3
5th  AMD Cool & Quite off
6th  Primary boot disk specify
7th  Save
8th Reboot

Problem is in my BIOS, I can not set Sata to AHCI mode. (only ide)
I can not find AMD C1E mattering
I can not find any ACPI mode

System Info:
Processor: AMD FX 8120 - Eight Core Processor @3.60GHz
RAM: 12gb
Motherboard: ASRock N68C - GS FX
Graphics: GeForce 9800 GT

I am trying to instal Snow Leopard on it.

Is it possible to do with my Motherboard and Processor?

Do I need a SSD  in order to do this installation?
