Hi,

I installed OS X 10.8 on an HP 8560w. So far everything is working just fine, the only issue i have is went the display goes to sleep.... i can't recover. I get a blackscreen and when i move the mouse around i get the pointer but thats it. My only option then is to hard reboot.

My graphic card is an NVIDIA Quadro 1000m.

I installed os x 10.8 on my laptop, HP 8560w and i downloaded the files from the guide below but not sure how to use them. I figured out how to use the aml file using ##### but as for the rest of the files, folders and especially the kext files i dont know.

I know there an app called kext utility but is it safe to use it?

Hi,

I want to install OS X on an HP 8560w. I am aware there is a guide for that PC but it is for OS X 10.7. I installed 10.8, updated to 1.8.2... had some issues booting back into windows at first but i worked it out. The mousepad, keyboard, audio and maybe graphics weren't work properly. So i went and download the files for 10.7 guide.... i used kext utility and draged and dropped all the kext file in the folders to the utility, i also installed chimera 2.0 and then rebooted. Now i have a blackscreen... the PC seems to boot into OS X as far as i can tell but it looks like video is messed up.

Can anyone help me?  I think i'd rather start from scratch and build another key with ##### 1.7.0... the one i used was from a torrent site using 1.5... not sure if it makes any difference.


Can anyone point me in the right direction here? I assume installing all the kext file using the kext utility was a bad idea.. probably as there was some other file types in there i didn't touch.

I'm trying to install so x 10.8.2 to an HP Z400. So far I have been unsuccessful and I didn't find much information on this PC. I tried the Iatkos ml2 which I installed to a USB key but during the boot of the installation I get the apple logo and the after a w minutes I get a circle with a slash. I updated the bios, reset to defaults. I have 4X 500GB drives in Raid 0. I tried with and without raid but I get the same result.

Based on my PC specs which method would you recommend? I heard of #####, my hack and kakewalk.

This is what I have but with 4 drives. I would like to have them setup in raid 0 if possible.
