Possible LGA775 motherboard?

02 April 2013 - 01:50 AM

Can anyone confirm that any of the LGA775 motherboards on newegg.com (http://www.newegg.co...=1&name=LGA 775) Work OOTB or without much hacking for installing 10.6.8?

Question 2: I have a Pentium D E2200 sitting unused in my basement. Is this processor confirmed to work with OS X?

Thank you.

Need Help finding a GPU

15 February 2013 - 02:42 AM

Hello,

So a month or so ago I put Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on my Dell Optiplex GX620, and it's been working great. But I'd like to upgrade it a little, get better graphics than what the integrated graphics allow. I have the mini-tower version of the Optiplex GX620, so I need a low-profile card. I'm fine with fans, a silent solution would be nice though, not sure how well it would perform in my machine though, as there aren't any fans other than the one for the PSU and CPU. I'd prefer for the card to work OOTB, or with very little work. I'd like DVI, VGA, and HDMI (sound through HDMI would be nice). I'd like to buy the card from Newegg.com , so if you can, provide a link to there.

Thanks!

HELP ME PLEASE

27 January 2013 - 08:21 PM

So, long story short, I installed OS X on my Dell Optiplex GX620 flawlessly, it has been working for over a week. I then decided today to try and get sleep working with sleepenabler.kext and now I only get kernel panics. The system will not boot. I have tried to boot into i-boot to reinstall 10.6.3 fresh, but i-boot won't load and I can't get my OS X 10.6.3 disk to show up in Chameleon. I don't know what to do! The system isn't dual-booted so I can't access from another partition or anything along those lines. Thanks!!!

Need some help.

I recently acquired some computer parts for free from a friend. They include: A Intel Pentium-D 2200, an MSI G31M3-F Motherboard, an EVGA GeForce 9500GT, and a 320GB SATA HDD. I'd like to make a hackintosh out of these parts. I've done some research concerning the motherboard, but can't find any conclusive data regarding OS X 10.6.8 Anyone have any suggestions? Also can't find any conclusive data regarding the GPU. I have an ###### CD laying around, and a copy of OS X 10.6.3. I don't need LAN working on the mobo, sound would be useful though. Thanks!

RNWD-N1501UB USB Adapter Help

20 January 2013 - 04:28 AM

So I recently put OS X 10.6.8 on my Dell Optiplex GX620. Everything works great, got audio working and ethernet shows up. My problem is, I don't have any way to get ethernet in my room (where my computer desk/monitor is), so I am trying to rely on a wireless adapter. I got a free Rosewill RNWD-N150UB wireless adapter with a laptop backpack I purchased, and have been using it with an old Win XP desktop for a while now, and it works great. But I cannot seem to get it to work with Snow Leopard! I've downloaded updated versions of the driver's from rosewill's website, but to no avail. It installs the Ralink Wireless Utility, but the program won't open! Anyone have any suggestions? If I can't use this, any suggestions for PCI Wireless-N cards that will work with my machine? (preferably something cheap) Or even other USB 2.0 Adapters? Thanks. Here's a link to the product mentioned above: http://rosewill.com/...=3_145_361_2304
