Thanks for your response. I forgot to say that the VDI image I moved from my laptop over had snow leopard running, which gave me a grey screen with apple logo. When I tried to install snow leopard with the nawcom mod cd, the installation process would start, but towards the end, an error would occur (forgot what it was exactly). Something about the stack.
