unallocated area

16 January 2013 - 10:52 PM

Hi.
I've an hdd 160GB.
100GB used by HFS+ for Mac OS X.
60GB are unallocated

How can I to allocate it by Disk Utility?

Problem:
Disk Utility detects whole disk volume (160GB) and its partition with OS X (100GB).
When I try to create two partitions I go to tab Partition (3), change Partition sheme to Partitions: 2 and now what:
DU determines both partitions as new and I need to set names, formats and volumes like for a new hdd.

Can I to damage existing partition with OS X so?
