I updated to 10.10.1 yesterday, and I had sound after updating.

Not yet, I will try it this afternoon.

Another thing I'm thinking is that it might be the format of the partition that holds the installer. I am not at the computer now, but I'll around with both things later.

No, I didn't include that kext in the folder.

I am trying to install Yosemite. When I choose "Install OS X Yosemite" in the Clover menu I get the following on the screen (using the -v boot flag):

 

efiboot loaded from device: Acpi(...)/Pci(...)/Usb(...)/Usb(...)/HD(...)

boot file path: .IABootFiles\boot.efi

.................................................

root device uuid is ...

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

 

What am I doing wrong? The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-Z97N-Gaming 5.

 

I would be extremely grateful for a bit of help here. I've spent many days ready all the guides I could find. No matter what I do, I get this screen :(

Thanks. But now the error I get is:

And then nothing happens.
