Help with DSDT for MSI P45 Neo2

28 August 2012 - 10:05 PM

Hey everyone!

I've had a hackintosh system for like a year now using the iAtkos Lion release....(sorry)
But today I got retail Mountain Lion installed on my system but I want to get it completely running with as little as possible kexts and using a patched DSDT. The only problem is that I'm a complete n00b in this area. I've already googled for some guides, but they are all different and somewhat outdated.

So....can someone point me to a nice guide or will someone help me with getting my DSDT patched up?

My system specs:
- Intel E8400
- GTX 275
- MSI P45 neo2

Quote

- P45
- ICH10R
- JMicron 363
- ALC888

Kexts using:
- FakeSMC.kext
- RealtekR1000SL.kext

What is working:
- Graphics acceleration
- Sleep/(power management?)
- Everything else?

Problems:
- Sound not working
- Ethernet (currently using RealtekR1000SL.kext)
- CMOS getting a reset at reboot
- System gets a reboot when you shut down with a USB drive plugged in
- Internal SATA drive as external detected
- External eSata drive as internal detected

Mac OS X/Data/Media are internal and Time Machine is external. All off those are connected to the ICH10R

Reboot during loading kexts when installin Mountain Lion

27 August 2012 - 08:25 AM

Hello everyone,

I've seen this kind of topic before on this forum, but I didn't found any solution for it.

My problem is that when I try to install Mountain Lion on my pc that during the loading off all the kexts the system gets rebooted. This doesn't happen during a specific kext and it happens without any warning/kernel panic.
Lion runs just fine on my pc and I was able to install Mountain Lion before, but now it won't load the install anymore.

My pc information:
- Intel E8400
- GTX 275
- MSI P45 neo2

Quote

- P45
- ICH10R
- JMicron 363
- ALC888

Below I've attached the /Extra folders I tried to use during the installation. I've used the Uni Beast instalation method, the myHack one and the manual with building your own USB boot drive using my /Extra folder I'm using off 10.7

Also I've tried the following arguments:
-f
-v
-x
-f -v busratio=20 GraphicsEnabler=No npci=0x2000
-x -f -v busratio=20 GraphicsEnabler=No npci=0x2000 cpus=1

Hope someone will be able to help me,
eXtink
