No Hardware Acceleration EVGA nVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 1024 GB 10.6.x

30 July 2012 - 10:50 PM

Hello everyone, I'm here to ask if anyone knows how to get hardware acceleration working on an EVGA nVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 1024 GB.  I've tried the tonymacx86 nVIDIA update, an EFI string, and the official nVIDIA CUDA driver.  I'm running Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.5 but I can upgrade to any version.  I'm only on 10.6.5 because of the tonymacx86 update.  I'm pretty sure I don't have hardware acceleration because I can't change my screen resolution, and certain animations like clicking the Application folder are slugish. I have an AMD Phenom II X4 @ 3.2 GHz, and 8 Gigabytes of RAM. I'm really hoping this can be fixed as it's the only thing not working :wallbash: Thanks in advance :thumbsup_anim:
