Fixing Windows 8 and Mountain Lion Dual-boot Issues

01 April 2013 - 09:45 PM

I can't seem to get Chameleon working no matter what I do. I tried setting my OS X partition to active in Windows using diskpart using list disk select disk x list partition select partition x active exit exit, but that didnt seem to load chameleon, even after i reinstalled chameleon. then i tried setting it to active in OS X using diskpart list fdisk e dev rdiskx f x write y exit exit, and that didnt work. then i tried turning windows 8 fast restart off, and that didnt work. im out of ideas.

Bios and Other Setting for Intel Core i5-3570K and GA-Z77X-UP5-TH

06 March 2013 - 05:12 AM

Hey all, so bought some new hardware, and was wondering if someone could tell me the right Bios settings and System Definitions for an Intel Core i5-3570K and GA-Z77X-UP5-TH hackintosh build. I've been looking for guides but none touch the Bios, and it seems that half of them say to use iMac 12 and the other say to use some form of Mac Pro.
Thanks in advance.

The Transition from Old to New Hardware

02 March 2013 - 04:07 AM

So I have had this ML install running smoothly with the hardware in my signature, but it was time for some upgrades, so i purchased:
Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H
Ram: Corsair CML8GX3M2A1600C9
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K

My question is, what do I do with my OS X install?
Do I install just download or make a new DSDT based on that motherboard and whatever kexts I find in threads from people with the same board, run myfix, turn the computer off, then install the new hardware?
