Only 1 core detected

28 April 2008 - 01:14 PM

I installed the Zephyroth AMD and it ran fine on my machine with Athlon 64 3000+ (single core). But recently I upgraded my processor to a dual core X2 3800+. After the upgrade, the system still works but in System Profiler, it detects only 1 core. The processor name is detected correctly.

Is there anything that I can do to make it detect both cores? Should I reinstall or is it the processor is not compatible with current Leopard hacks?

10.5.2 random kernel panic on AMD

16 April 2008 - 12:35 PM

Hi guys,

I am using Leopard 10.5.2 (Zephyroth's) with this spec:

AMD Athlon 64 3000+
ASUS A8N-SLi
Radeon X1950Pro

After installation, Leopard boots fine. But _sometimes_ the system will suddenly get KP but I can't even read the text, it's distorted. May it be the graphics kext causing this? These are what I have in my system:

ToH 9.2.0 kernel
Bronya X1950Pro kext
forcedeth kext
EFI v8 MBR
nForce 2/3/4/5 kexts, not sure the version/make, comes with Zephyroth's DVD
AC97 & Azalia kexts

Can somebody help? If you need more information, please tell me.

Adding resolution in the list

20 June 2007 - 03:22 AM

Hi all, I'm really new in this. Just want to make sure. Is it possible just to add the resolution list in 10.4.8? I installed the JaS version of it with X1950Pro (I know there is not much luck with this one). I didn't install any 3rd party kext from Titan, JCCool and even the most common hardware support was not selected during installation.

Currently my OSX is displaying everything correctly but I only limited to 1024 x 768. Is it possible just to add resolution list somewhere?

I tried JCCool before, but for desktop animation, it seems stuttering, but without JCCool's 0.3, it runs smoothly. Currently I'm installing OSX again so I can't tell whether the default driver used enabled QE/CI or not. Will update later.

If it's not possible, some explanation would help.

Graphics problem on 10.4.8 (AMD SSE3)

04 May 2007 - 06:51 PM

Everything is installed and working fine. Only my graphics card haven't get driver install. So I'm stuck at 1024 x 768. Can somebody help me out with this problem?

The graphics card is XpertVision Radeon X1950Pro 512MB. Any driver for this?

FYI, I'm really really new to Mac OS X. Hope you guys can help me out. Thanks :thumbsup_anim:
