How to edit About this Mac stuff....

05 January 2014 - 07:03 AM

Hey so I want to have my Video card and processor speeds appear properly...

I am running a Haswell @ 4.4GHz and a AMD Radeon HD 5870 and they show as

Processor 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR

Video ATI Radeon HD 5000 1024 MB

Would like them to be

Processor 4.4 GHZ Intel Core i7

Video ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024 MB

It is the last thing to make this feel more normal...

Bluetooth WiFi and all iCloud functions including iMessage ETC work...

Thanks for the help

Haswell setup... Thoughts?

12 September 2013 - 09:47 PM

So my motherboard died the other day and I am looking to upgrade for my latest Hackintosh.

Here is what i am looking at please let me know your thougths good bad ugly etc... The system will double as my gaming platform as well hence why i am choosing these components.

Motherboard: ASUS MAXIMUS VI IMPACT LGA 1150 Intel Z87 Mini ITX

CPU: Intel i7-4770k

I know haswell are not yet fully supported BUT i am hoping in the coming months they will be!
Will this be a good build? or will it be better to go with a gigabyte setup?
