Wireless "lag"

Ok so i finally got my HP completely up and running on Kalway 10.5.2 -- well minus power management... anyway.

 

So i'm surfing the net and at times... intermittently... it is painfully slow and even to the point of timing out. VIA my wireless connection. which is dell 1390

 

the router is only 10 feet away and in xp working wonderful. I did a little ping test on my wireless and wired... check out the results. If anyone can help here i would greatly appreciate it. I've looked all through the boards and google but haven't seen this problem. If you need more info let me know I'm new to osx but damn it rocks (cept for wireless issue) lol
