hi

I am tryiing to install Leo4All on AMD machine. it installs smoothly and got everything working except the video card. The video card is on board GeForce 6150 LE. The System is DELL 740M. I have tried all the latest drivers(Natit, Titan and some packages by Punk) but can't get the QE enabled though CI is enabled. following is the configuration of my machine.

Hope somebody will point me to enable the QE.

i have the same card, but i don't think there's any solution for it, i just tried installing the punk92 v2.0 with Titan, but i get an error saying that system extentions /sy....../titan.kext was installed improperly and cannot be used, i tried installing again and repairing the permission, but no luck:P

@identity: i've been thinking the same thing but haven't been able to get anyone to comment on the idea. as far as i'm aware the driver that addresses the memory addressing is different to the one controlling the CI/QE so it shouldn't in theory matter that we have an older card. the memory addressing should be the same? it would require the graphics drivers from the new macbooks. that's if it worked at all. but it stands a better chance of working than the previous drivers. i haven't tried it myself yet but my recommended steps for trying it would be to upgrade to 5.5, get the latest drivers from the new macbook, add your device ids to the nvidia driver with 30 in the name. (that's the one specific to our gpu i think) and add an injector like nvinject or natit. i can't say if this'd work and in all fairness may actually break your install so if you were to try it i'd make sure you have EVERYTHING backed up. my curiosity is once again sparked so i may give this a go over the next few days. i have been majorly put off running OS X on my laptop though as you can't boot without the battery making the whole point of a portable computer pointless. let us know how it works out. it'd be interesting to see if it makes a difference over using the old drivers. plus... since the new chipsets use nvidia rather than intel it might be cool to see if we can use some of the newer drivers for that.

regards,

Marc

by the way.. you guys know you can get resolution support using macvidia right?

There is a solution for changing resolution but none for the QE/CI.

i really hate to bring back this thread due to how old it is. but is there a chance you can explain to me how i could change the res using this card.
