fatslob222
Hey Guys! Firstly, i am running Mac OSX Leopard 10.5.1 from a Kalyway DVD. I have been fiddling around with kexts and supposed fixes for my sound card, and i havnt had much luck. When going into Sound in system preferences etc, i get No Output/Input devices found. My soundcard doesnt show up in system profiler either. Before i go on, heres a little info about my sound chipset: SoundMax HD Audio (Analog Devices) Dev: 1981 Ven: 11D4 I have tried the kext from the HP topic, but that just gave me the classic "Greay Screen", so i had to reinstall Leopard. I have also tried editing the AppleAC97Audio.kext, with my vendor ID etc, but im fairly sure i did something wrong, because i got another grey screen, causing me to reinstall again. This must be about my 4th install . Has anyone had any luck on similar hardware? If so, can you attach your kext, or a resolution? If you need more info about my computer/soundcard, just let me know. Dysan911
Am I correct in assuming that there just isn't ever going to be any support for this particular Audio Device?
