Metrogirl
Yahoo won't allow "Allah" in email addresses, but "God" is fine ... Of course, if you're called Callahan, you're screwed: Yahoo bans Allah Reminds me of the unfortunate citizens of Scunthorpe, England, who could't put their address in AOL messages because of the four-letter word detected inside the town name
Hagar
I had the same problem with a public-sector firewall/proxy once: we couldnt get hold of ethernet drivers because they were "9xxx series" & the 3 xes were blocked.. Also our collaboration with a project in sweden was severely hampered by the fact that "swedish" was blocked too...
Beringer
You're not allowed to have your new iPod engraved If your name is Nigel. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/09/19/apple_war_on_nigels/ I wonder how many austrians have gotten an iPod engraved: http://www.urlaub-salzburg.at/wanker/Haus.htm And, of course, in the UK they have Timothy Bottoms and Tony Woodcock.. Compared to that, Husband and McCool (SS Columbia) sounds almost sane. Almost.. Ah yes, i almost forgot: The (likely) next city to host LinuxWorldExpo: http://www.f***ing.at/f***ing/eOrt1.htm But, as you can see, this forum does the same, breaking an otherwise perfectly good URL. Metrogirl
Beringer, that's brilliant! I laughed so much over those... PS I used my moderator powers to fix the link in your post so you can now go to the f***ing website by clicking on it. I didn't attempt to fix the visible part because no doubt Mash would get a PM saying I was a Bad Girl

Metrogirl
I think the term "wanker" is lost on many Americans, though - it doesn't mean much over here, which is great, if I call someone a wanker they're not sure if it's an insult or a compliment! They even have an American 'Wanker' beer, believe it or not, and the rest of the English speaking world thinks it's hysterical! Wanker Beer 'Rude foods website' - There's plenty more inappropriate names on that site! I particularly like the name of that sushi restaurant in Singapore, see below. Oh, dear. Eggman
I particularly like the name of that sushi restaurant in Singapore, see below. Oh, dear. Wonder how many American tourists away "on business" went there...
bluedragon1971
The profanity filter at Neowin.net mangles the name of the company Matsu{censored}a, for obvious reasons. It shows up as Matsu****a! It has even done that in news posts there!
