I'm wondering if the MacBook or MacBook Pro has a TV Tuner or not. If they dont, whats a good one to get, and how do they work? When can I watch TV, and what do I need to make it work. Do I just need cable, or what? Sorry, this is probably a noob question, but im newer in the world of Mac.

No they don't have a tuner installed, you want to check into the EyeTV software from Elgato they have a list of compatibile turners that can be used with their software including a couple they make themselves they usually hook up to the computer via USB.

  • 2 weeks later...

I got the Pinnacle PCTV HD TV Tuner.

It works awesome with EyeTV, HD signal works flawlessly.

Really recommended, got mine for $129.99 at Best Buy

including the Mac Software (Don't know which one, I already

had EyeTV).
