I searched the forums and was unable to find anyone who was looking for this. I just got my laptop running flawlessly except for sound and wifi (buying dell card for this).

I'm having a friend trying to dump the codec of his laptop and they have it finally up and running on Unbutu. Thing is i've never had to create my own patch. Any help is greatly appreciated.
