iPhone developing on PC?

Hi,

I'm proud owner of an iphone and would want to write apps for it with my PC. And from what i read it should be possible to compile them with gcc, but not without the cocoa framework library. Does anyone know where to get the library files, and what else i would have to consider? Or did anyone write a how-to yet?

Thank You!

All the framework library files are on xcode package on OSX dvd. You can download it also from apple as well. I have never tried and never heard of anyone else on pc to compile anything for iphone, so I guess you are on virgin grounds here.

There's always the toolchain for Windows, which is the "unofficial" method of developing apps (and by far, harder). There's also an unreleased method of using it with 1.2, so if you've got 1.1.4 then the toolchain is the way to go.

You can google for this, there are innumerable resources on it.
