SticMAC™
Try this one it autosenses the Headphones, Int Speakers, each with it's own volume control!(somebody very clever made it!!) It only shows "Internal Speakers" in Sounds but as soon as you plug in your phones it switches StiCMAN

realityiswhere
How to install ALC268 with Autosensing? Thank you very much. Out of complete and utter boredom I made a package installer for it http://localhostr.com/files/bd1afe/ALC268%...Autosensing.zip However, kext installation should be the first thing you learn about in OSx86. realityiswhere
Uhmm this did not work. Post your vendor/device id and revision number. It's only ALC268 if it's rev 3 of " 8086:284b " The package installs the correct kext, and it installs properly.

anatharias
Hi guys, I'm coming back since the 10.4.6 times where we could barely start at a proper resolution on wide screens... anyway.. i've got a GIGABYTE M912 NetBook with a ALC268 audio CHip... i've tested all the kexts available here and there.. but no one is working... some kexts recognize my audio chip but no sound is emited at all... and other kexts simply disable my audio card... Any clue on "how to get it work" ? I'm with Leopard 10.5.4 Thanks
ludacrisvp
Mine doesnt work at all with any of the above provided. Running 10.5.5 iDeneb on Toshiba Satellite x205-SLI6 I get 2 audio output devices that have volume control but there is no sound being output. Windows also shows 2 audio devices for Realtek High Definition Audio. This laptop is equipped with HDMI if that makes a difference Below is the info for my hardware from Vista x64 Realtek High Definition Audio Hardware IDs: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0268&SUBSYS_1179FF0A&REV_1000 Compatible IDs: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086&CTLR_DEV_284B&VEN_10EC&DEV_0268&REV_1000 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086&VEN_10EC&DEV_0268&REV_1000 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0268&REV_1000 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086&CTLR_DEV_284B&VEN_10EC&DEV_0268 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086&VEN_10EC&DEV_0268 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0268 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086&CTLR_DEV_284B&VEN_10EC HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086&VEN_10EC HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&CTLR_VEN_8086&CTLR_DEV_284B HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&GF&VEN_10EC&DEV_0268&SUBSYS_1179FF0A&REV_1000 Parent: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_284B&SUBSYS_FF001179&REV_03\3&33fd14ca&0&D8 Siblings: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0268&SUBSYS_1179FF0A&REV_1000\4&214a8d76&0&0001 HDAUDIO\FUNC_02&VEN_11C1&DEV_1040&SUBSYS_11790001&REV_1002\4&214a8d76&0&0101
