Asus 8600GT - long boot time

Today, I installed a brand new Asus 8600GT in my hackingtosh. I was extremely pleased to see that I can now use DVI (it's a dual DVI card) and I was also pleased by the fact that everything worked out of the box with almost nothing to change in my system. I only needed to add nvinject.kext & repair permission and now I have full QE/CI support and even rotation is supported. I also have full support for sleep. My computer always wake-up correctly when I put it to sleep. Finally, my old crappy ATI X1600 is out, I was tired because I tried ererything to make it work correctly.

Now the only problem, is the looonnngg boot-time. I used a custom nvinject I downloaded here, it was supposed to be designed to fit with the 512mo card. My card is correctly detected as a 512mo card, but I was wondering if I need to get another nvinject to fix my boot problem?

What's stalling the boot up process if you boot up in verbose mode (-v)? Sounds like it's just waiting for some hardware to time out, or somesuch.

Anyway, I'll get my 8600gt that's set to replace the x1600 I'm currently using, in a week or so. When you say "everything worked out of the box" do you mean there's absolutely no screen tearing, glitches, etc? What about power management (like in do the fan of the card actually spin down when not under heavy use, et.c.) and dual screen et.c.?
