New Software update. Is it safe for the hackinit0sh?

This update is recommended for all users and includes compatibility improvements for using Time Machine with Time Capsule, as well as AirPort driver fixes.

Security Update 2008-002 is recommended for all users and improves the security of Mac OS X. Previous security updates have been incorporated into this security update.

Does this SU work with the hackint0sh ?

I figure I would create a new Thread since people would like to know if a new Software Update Apple released would screw up your system.

So please post here if new software updates works for you!

Just updated both Safari 3.1 and the security update.

Went without any problems.

I'm running a 10.5.0 installed from flat image, and updated to 10.5.2 using Kalyway's ComboUpdate (no Vanilla kernel or EFI though...).

My hardware is an Intel Core2Duo running on ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard, with 2GB RAM and running my hackint0sh on a seperate HDD.

Good luck to you all! :cards:

Kalyway 10.5.2 + EFI

Update Safari + SU 2008 No problem.

First boot after update had serious problem, but after reboot again, nothing is wrong, now I tested for at least 10 times. Working great, still wondering why its first boot had problem.

Anyone tried the Time Machine and AirPort update?

NEVER make an update without looking in the .pkg with pacifist !!!

That update (Timemachine 19.3.08) is NOT for us !

There is an new mach_kernel + system.kext installed (pacifist shows that!) which would crash 100% most hackintoshs (perhaps vanilla hackinstoshs may work).
