Looks like apple just added 2.16Ghz upgrade to its line up....I don't think I'd pay an extra $300 for it though.

Yes this was announced a few days ago. I clocked the $300 upgrade on the apple store and was equally baffled as to who would pay that much for an extra 160MHz !?

Everyone has to pay for that upgrade, poseidon. It is just the 'free bumps' on the two base models that are free. The 2.16 option is not a free upgrade anywhere.

OKay, I just read at a company wepshop and it said that you owuld get the free upgrade for your computer you ordered...
