oxtobyd Posted March 5, 2008 Share Posted March 5, 2008 Hi all, have 100% working leopard install via Kalyway 10.5.1 + kalyway 10.5.2 combo update and also the latest NVInject installer. The 8800GT works fine at right resolution etc, but only problem is when booting then get grey screen with spinning wheel for about 2mins before finally moving on and loading up ok. anyone any ideas? have tried doing repair permissions, and also on -v then nothing obvious (it seems to bee waiting on network, but i think thats a red herring since only slow boot after installing NVInject) cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Pondscum Posted March 5, 2008 Share Posted March 5, 2008 Had same problem, go find the Kalyway 10.5.2 vanilla kernel and install.... voila, normal boot....! I think the update doesn't actually update the kernel so it has some issues, i read on here somewhere if do "uname -a" in terminal it will tell you the kernel you are running, it will probably say 9.1, you need 9.2 which is what the update puts on...
