badboyz
i am using the patcher but its asking me for a dump of my audio codec, so am lost, how do i obtain this dump or make it myself?
badboyz
ok i made a very strange discovery, if use HDA Patcher, it removes a file called AppleAzaliaAudio.kext and the HD Audio from settings disappear. also there is no audio device showing up in profiler, regardless of if there is a audio output in settings. thedishking
Have you tried Kalyway instead of what you are using? I had trouble with patcher on 10.4.8 but I am still trying, and it seems to make it alot further in Kalyway....
badboyz
yes, kalyway uses Azalia but still only show up as HD Audio Device in my settings and audio still doesnt work at all.
magic0200
Just got up and running Kal 10.5.1 + 10.5.2 combo update Sigmatel 92HD71B Dual SPDF Found out this was a dead chipset and they moved to the D version. I am currently trying to obtain a dump of the codec as well. Nothing in the Audio folders. Can anyone update on the status whether some versions are working or not with the HDA? Thanks for your time.
