Can i take it to apple store for Warranty Repair ???? SunLizard Posted February 29, 2008 Share Posted February 29, 2008 Yes. Just Restore your phone to factory condition (Place fone in DFU mode and virginize using via Itunes normal RESTORE button.) It's just the factory that it was produced in, the week it was manufactured and a unique identifier. I seriously doubt that one of those Apple "Geniuses" would know the exact starting manufacturing week that made the pile being shipped to your particular country. Even if they did, think of the likelihood that a few could have been sitting around for a few weeks by accident and then just thrown in the next shipment. Remember, the iPhone hasn't even been out long enough to be out of warranty. They should not care if its been sold in the US or UK... and I agree with you that its complete {censored} on not taking it back at the local store. Apple product is an apple product. Warrantys are for 1 year on parts and labor regardless if you live in Haiti or Dubai... Good luck with it. 'course you could ship it to a yank and get one of them to take care of if 4 you. They cant exchange it there because then the phone would be a uk phone and only for uk network. They dont even have att phones in there store to give you.
