vallie
Hi There I think you can use firewire to connect to a mac or pc which has firewire and internet. So at home I could at least connect to the internet etc. Without rebooting my dell m1330 into vista or ubuntu.... So Internet, earphone sound, graphic driver etc So workable... But still sleep and battery support [easy install somewhere out there??] would be better... have to hard press power off my laptop for restarts, shutdowns etc... munky
Yes, IP over FireWire works fine. Sleep and battery support on laptops is very hit-or-miss. personally, for a notebook, i'd just go with a macbook or macbook pro. you can pick up refurbished ones cheaper. as you can see from my sig, i have a desktop hackintosh and a real mac for a notebook (mbp). i recommend it! vallie
You are right on that one... but I have a 8 core mac pro :-) And I'm tight on money now as a macbook is not on option cause it to plastic for me... It was or a 1000 euro m1330 dell or a 3000 euro mbpro 17" etc etc So in a way my laptop is for play and situations that I have to work in vista or hackintosh etc... Will buy a mbpro when quad core will come and the machines are adjusted... cause the mbp's are starting to outdate in my opinion :-) Laterz
