They know we don't want a decent video option but we desperately need a thinner model. They can't honestly expect us to use these current gargantuan models. Synaesthesia Posted March 11, 2008 Share Posted March 11, 2008 Well, everyone expects an update, it will probably happen, but we never know when with Apple...I forsee a minor update, if any, which is still nice because you might get refurbished iMacs, which are always a great deal... They are highly unlikely to put in a card like the Radeon 3850/3870 or the Geforce 9600GT. They consume too much power for the iMac, and Apple have never put anything else than midrange cards in the iMac. Likely update: new Penryn processors and the Radeon 3450, 3470 & 3650 cards. Is the Radeon 3670 is still coming out? If so then maybe that one...that would be nice... Now that Netkas has reported finding 3450, 3470 & 3650 Radeon kexts in the new 10.5.3 update, we are sure to see a new Penryn iMac with these graphics cards soon...
