Hey All,

Do you people know any software which can rip DVD movies into computers? Actually I want to store it in my system, but normally DVD movies are large files and it takes huge space. So if you people know any DVD ripper software please let me know.

Thanks for your help in advance!

rip means to move away copy protection.

smaller filesize means re-encoding.

there are several ways.

DVD2One is an non-re-encoding App to fit a DVD on single layer one.

Quicktime Player Pro can re-encode from mpeg2 to mpeg4 or h.246 or etc. and then movies are smaller, but renencoding takes time.

I recommend MacTheRipper to rip the dvd's, and Handbrake to encode them to H.264 to store on your HD.

VisualHub. I used it for converting a DVD into XviD .avi. No doctor's degree in video is required. Just drag the Video_TS folder form the DVD, specify the destination path and the destination format and let all the settings default if you have no idea what means. The result was more then satisfy.
