I bought an Inspiron #17o5 back in june of 2006

Have Leopard running on it now, love it.

Problem is, I have no onboard sound.

I have a Sound Blaster Audigy HD sound card..or something along those lines...and the most information i could find about it in reference to it working with leopard is...there is no driver, nor will there ever be.

That was quite helpful.

Anyways...i'm assuming that is integrated sound.

My question is if there is a sound card i can buy to put in my computer that is compatible with leopard.

I know that this same model comes with the Sigmatel 9200 or something now, and that they have the appleHDA thingie for it, but would i be able to put that in my computer?

Thanks guys!

The audigy that you have is a software driven audio codec. You more than likely have the 9200 sig card in your laptop just as i do.

In my signature are downloads for this laptop. Download them and follow my instructions for Audio. They should work just fine for you.

Good Luck
