hi guys,
I've tried nearly all tricks to get my resolution higher than 1024x768 on
my Inspiron 6400 + x1400 without no luck at all, people say it works on
external display, haven't tested but that's not really what laptop users
are looking for, seriously I'm not going to be carrying a lcd screen with me
all the time, lol.
Ok now here's the deal, I've heard about a misterious fable on "plugging a pin on
the video port on the back of the laptop" to get the internal display "resolution changeable",
guys, have any of you ever heard or actually done it so you could tell me how to do it please?

thanks a lot

I've got just about the same set up as you. Can you explain to me what you did to get the X1400 working at all on the internal LCD?
