i4get
hi, I'm looking for an updated AppleSMBIOS.kext file that'll work with Leopard 10.5.2 and enable Adobe CS3 to work, and not screw up the cpu speed in the 'about this mac' screen. socal swimmer
I think this may be the one he's talking about: http://rapidshare.com/files/91780335/Apple...xt.tar.bz2.html found on: http://netkas.org/ it is compiled from 10.5.2 sources. abnormalkit
I can't seem to get AppleSMBIOS.kext to work. I keep getting a blue screen after I reboot. Can someone show me a way to install it correctly? I Back up and delete the current one. THen dragged the new one into systems/library/extensions and then repair permissions in disk utility. I am also running on 10.5.2 and trying to get CS3 to work. Thanks in advance!
fontace
Please find attached another "AppleSMBIOS.kext" found on another website than Netkas. I apologize for the author as I do not remember where I have found it... sorry! It is a 10.5.2 based build and seems to work with CS3. I have read that... because I do not have CS3 to try. crazyJAT
Does anybody know if there is an AppleSMBIOS that will correctly identify the Intel Core 2 Duo q9550 2.83 GHz processor? And for that matter, one that will correctly recognize DDR3?
Beerkex'd
Install the Chameleon 2.0 bootloader, vanilla AppleSMBIOS.plist from the same version of Leopard as you are running now, remove any SMBIOS injector you're using and hand-edit smbios.plist at /Extra/Extensions to your liking. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1124377 DDR is 18, DDR2 is 19, so if DDR3 is implemented I guess it's safe to assume that it's 20. You can use OSX86Tools to change the CPU information that appears in 'about this mac'.
