apowerr
Is there any particular reason as to why there is never OSX86 news on the front page? The most active subsections of InsanelyMac are those related to Hackintoshs, yet the news does not cover OSX86 at all? Look at peoples sigs: they're all of full of information about their iHacks! I don't know what more I can write other than: MOAR OSX86 NEWS. I really could give a {censored} less Mac users and their brains, how about some news from netkas.org! Almost all of his post are front page worthy. Or Zephyroth Release 2, a hack release crucial to AMD users (the original release sparked a 100+ page thread) being right around the corner? If you guys need someone to submit news about OSX86 development and such, I and tons of others here would be more than willing to. Does anyone else feel the same way? Colonel
Thanks for the suggestion! I guess we've just been trying to stick with the more "legal" part of Apple news, rather than posting about updates to OSx86 DVDs and such. How many folks out there would like some more OSx86 related news?
apowerr
How many folks out there would like some more OSx86 related news? A good question, I added a poll to find out
Paranoid Marvin
This is an OSx86 site? I could have sworn this was an iPhone and general Apple fanboy news site...
Suhail
I voted. Good Suggestions. Keep them coming
Mebster
Yeah I guess we could do with a few more OSx86 related news. And Colonel, good point about the legal aspect but this site is built on OSx86, not Apple products in general. We've got thousands of topics discussing OSx86 in the forum and we actually do post news on OSx86 too. Just not as often it seems as people would like. Anyway that's my opinion
Numberzz
{censored} you erei33. I don't use OSx86, and the other news team members fill in there so you can just go away, k?
apowerr
{censored} you erei33. I don't use OSx86, I'm sorry to hear that. , and the other news team members fill in there so you can just go away, k? Thats the problem, no one has been 'filling in', theres been no OSX86 news. Numberzz
I'm sorry to hear that. Thats the problem, no one has been 'filling in', theres been no OSX86 news. Then tell me a site where I can get OSx86 news.
Colonel
Then tell me a site where I can get OSx86 news. Kinda like a MacRumors with OSx86 news for you to borrow posts from?
apowerr
Then tell me a site where I can get OSx86 news. Theres this site called InsanelyMac thats all about OSX86 A lot of releases have official threads, and in these official threads there may be official websites. Netkas.org is the blog of OSX86 dev Netkas. Osx.kbot.de/ is the official site/miniforum for Zephyroth, who really is like the only person actively making AMD only releases now. You could make a post about upgrading to 10.5.2 on a Hackintosh etc, Hackintosh news is pretty easy to make. Edit: Heres some news, mac.nub has screens of a pre-patched 10.5.2 DVD. CLiDE FTW!!1
Good points erei33... It's not an Apple fanboy lame-o message board (theres already a million of them out there), it's an OS X enthusiast's site. I care about news that betters the OSX86 community. I registered on this board to get help with my hackies -- not to gloat about how much I paid for my computer
SticMAC™
As long as we leave the Elections out of it, I'm fine with everything the News Team can drag onto our screens! It's a bit like watching E! entertainment(the wife you know ) with all the latest gossip et all! SticMAN

~pcwiz
The idea has turned into a campaign to get erei33 for newz team :hysterical: :hysterical: But I think that OSx86 news is a good idea and if news team members aren't willing to do it, then put erei33 on the team and he'll take of it. The only disadvantage I can think of of erei33 eing on the team is the sheer amount of AMD OSx86 (Zephyroth, etc.) news we'll be getting jk jk ~pcwiz
apowerr
It's quite pleasing to see so many people who also want OSX86 news. Hopefully we'll start to see some soon If you guys need someone to submit news about OSX86 development and such, I and tons of others here would be more than willing to. When I made the original post, my intent wasn't to get myself onto the news team. However, if the only way Insanely is going to get OSX86 news is from a new team member, I'd be more than willing to join.

Numberzz
What do you mean start again? There was like my post and one other. One that had my opinion in it and was actually relevant to this thread. I am still saying no and will keep posting here if my posts are deleted. NO. apowerr
NO. Err, why not? 85% of everyone that voted wanted more OSX86 news, why are you saying 'NO.'?
