Andrea3000
Hi, I've got a XFX Geforce 8800gts 320mb (G80) and I'm looking for the best driver for this vga under leopard. Please, will you help me? If there are people with the same vga or a similar one, it would be wonderful! Thank you! Bye!

I use macdotnub's Leopard installer, when you install it check the "320mb" option: Â http://my.macdotnub.info/content/view/15/28/ Â Works 100% under 10.5.0 and 10.5.
Andrea3000
Thank you for the info! There is only one thing that isn't clear to me: what gfx string exactly is? In the PC EFI v_8 folders I found a txt with the gfx string for the 8800gts 320mb but I don't know for what do I need it, how to use it and I don't even know if that string works with my card. Can you help me, please?

herbalb
I also don't know what to do with the gfx string txt-file that comes with EFI in order to function properly with my GTS 320MB. But at least I could get it working by using macdotnub's NVInject Installer ( http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=65849 ) I am on 10.5.2 (Mainboard P35-DS4) and I installed all updates except for the Graphics-Update as I am worried about killing my system with it. Use the gfx string (only graphics card portion of it) that I have attached to this post. Make sure you follow the directions exactly as described in the refernced posts. DarkPham
I have 8800GTS 320/ but after I update to 10.5.3 then it's not work. Please help me? How to get it work?
herbalb
I reinstalled my system without any additional drivers for my GF 8800 GTS 320MB (G80), installed EFI and then I updated to 10.5.3, all by using this guide: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=77165 . My graphic card was not supported and I only had a resolution of 1024*768 with no QE or anything. Then I used EFIStudio (http://forum.netkas.org/index.php/topic,64.60.html) to add the driver automatically to the com.apple.Boot.plist and it worked great. So I can highly recommend this tool for 8800 (at least with G80 chip).
