peterpaul08 Posted February 9, 2008 Share Posted February 9, 2008 Hiya. Bought a Macbook 13'' white 2 GHz about two years ago. Yesterday, battery status got weird: When plugging in the AC, the LED on the cord plug lights up red, so battery should recharge, but even after hours of charging, the status LEDs on the battery remain at lowest level. Macbook starts up and runs, battery power indicator shows 0% and fails to calculate remaing charging time. Heard a very light "twirping" type noise sometimes since problem occured, seems to come out of the battery... Is the battery down and needs to be replaced? Anyone got a clue?
