ovof
Hi all, very nice forum Well, i've got a GA P35 DS3R with Q6600 perfectly working under 10.5.1. Sleeps /wake works well too EFI, vanilla and GFX strings installed. The only thing is the mobo dont wake up by wake on lan ??? It works under vista (i checked the right button in windows system preferences), but not under leo ??? Does anyone has an idea ? Its like Leo powermanagement turns off lan chip so it cant wake up... BTW under leo, wakeonlan is on in powermanagement Help Me please
ovof
Something interesting : - if i shutdown from leo : wakeonlan works - if i suspend (S3) : wakeonlan dont work -> this is the annoying issue I saw there is also the same bug for this mobo under linux #160413
ovof
Now i understand. The chip one DS3R is RTL8111B. The driver built-in is for RTL8169. There's a bug on this mobo to properly wake on lan with this chip. Linux kernel has exactly the same bug with this mobo, and the fix has not been found out yet. Perhaps if the kernel bug on linux is found, i would correct this on osx So, i bought a PCI card. DLINK DGE 528T. Wake on lan works out of the box Only remaining issue, bonjour servie which is corrupted with AppleRTL8169 kext.
