btk
I'm having problems getting LiveType to run. I have FCP 5 and I copied the installer files to my hard drive, then trashed the install and volume checks and edited the code strings in the main installer file. That didn't work, so I tried installing the individual packages and thankfully that worked. Anyways, I can get FCP to import, export, etc., but no firewire capture. (Can't get LiveCaputure Plus to work either). I installed pretty much all the packages, but a couple of seemingly uneccessary ones wouldn't. But when I launch LiveType I get this error: "An unexpected error occured. (** class error for "ProSystemStore": class not loaded)" I went back and reinstalled the packages, but still crashes. The program actually gives an option though to either continue or quit, and when you continue you get into the program, but creating a new project crashes it. I'm using the Marklar generic OSX installer. My hardware specs are HP zd8000 laptop w/ Intel P4 HT 2.8GHz SSE3, no patches. 512MB RAM & ATI x600. I would appriciate any help or advice that anybody could give me. Thanks.
39thRonin
You should try to upgrade to 10.4.3. The release you are running was lacking a great deal of drivers and such. I've read in other threads that folks have the whole FCP suite running fine - but you'll have to check their machine specs..
