Hey, this is my first post (obviously) and i am relatively new to OSx86, so bear with me. I wont flood you guys with questions without reading first, but this one is like that because of circumstances (explained below).

Basically, my question is:

Does leopard (10.5, 10.5.1, 10.5.2) support the 8800GT and/or the 8800 GTS? i have been reading multiple topics, and getting mixed confirmations. Given that one of the Mac Pro configurations is with a 8800GT, i would assume there are drivers built into 10.5.1, but I am not sure. Apple is selling an 8800GT in their online store (but its about $60 too expensive) and i am also wondering if the firmware is different on this than a standard 8800GT from say, newegg, or if its the same. This leads into a secondary question about changing the firmware, but i will ask that at another time.

I am aware that this is, to a degree, a repost, and has been answered before, but I'm traveling at the moment, so internet time is limited, so i can only read so much into it.

Thanks a bunch in advance,

A-98

Mac Pro has a special 10.5.1 which has 8800GT support though 10.5.1 "we" have doesn't have those. But we are using drivers from 10.5.2 BETA which are a lot better anyway stability/performance wise.

So yeah, it works.

And don't buy a Apple 8800GT, just buy a PC one, you don't need to flash anything. The Mac firmware is indeed different though we don't know yet (it's unavailable) if it works on PC or not. Even though, it's useless.
