kombucha
I used PuppyLinux to get the attached dump, which works more than other dumps that I've tried but I'm still not having any success. I have a SigmaTel 9200 (HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8384&DEV_7690&SUBSYS_102801C2&REV_1022) and when I throw this dump into the patcher, I get as far as: Patching AppleHDA.kext to 0x83847690 Done* Checking AppleHDA for patch Done 0001f4a7 cmpl $0x83847690,%eax 0002058b cmpl $0x83847690,%eax * Checking for SPDIF Out Detected * Checking for SPDIF In Not Detected Using other dumps I've found, it won't even detect SPDIF Out. No matter what, it never progresses past this point. Any ideas on how to fix this? MySigmatel9200.txt
babgolis
I'm getting nowhere with my SigmaTel STAC9274D. I used my own linux dump with HDApatcher 1.20. I see some people have had sucess with 1.16. I'll give it a whirl. * Patching AppleHDA.kext to 0x83847621 Done* Checking AppleHDA for patch Done 0001f4a7 cmpl $0x83847621,%eax 0002058b cmpl $0x83847621,%eax * Checking for SPDIF Out Detected * Checking for SPDIF In Not Detected * Using the following nodes in pathmap Back Mic: 7 27 24 21 12 Line In : 28 25 22 16 Speaker : 13 2 Spdif Out: 33 30 * Copying new config to destination Done * Repairing Permissions Done * Deleting Extensions Cache Done ** Done patching - You can reboot now ** I don't get any devices in my audio panel after installing the codec. codec_dump_SigmaTel_STAC9274D.text.zip
babgolis
Update: I tried the 1.16 installer and audio out is fine. It claims to recognize the mike, but I haven't tried it yet. Thanks Taruga!! PS I'm using a Badaxe2 mobo...

clippit
Does someone have the **SigmaTel STAC9220 A1 @ Intel 82801GB ICH7 - High Definition Audio Controller [A-1]** ? The dump file for 9220 at http://psykopat.free.fr/apple/AppleHDA/ is false, it is actually for 9221! [EDIT] I have dump my file in Ubuntu, but it is still "SigmaTel STAC9221 A1"! I have not tested it yet. [EDIT2] tested on my hackintosh, doesn't work! codec.txt

ricodued
I have a Sigmatel 9221D A2 built-in to my 957XBX motherboard. So far, it works great. .. Except there's no line-in. In fact, there's no input devices listed in the Sound prefs other than 'internal speakers'. Any ideas? This feature is kinda important to me I've attached my dump if anyone wants to look at or use it. EDIT: I should mention that using this exact same dump, I had line-in etc. working under Tiger. sigmatel9221.txt
JaSper's Hackintosh
Thanks to everyone working on a solution to audio issues. I have a Gateway MT3422 Laptop with a Sigmatel 9200 sound driver. I have tried several versions of Taruga's AppleHDApatcher, and several 9200 dumps from the internet. However, I still do not have sound. It always reads SPDIF OUT not detected and SPDIF IN not detected. I have sometimes got the SPDIF OUT to be detected by using Sigmatel 9221 dumps but does not result in any sound nevertheless. I have an nVidia Geforce Go 6100/nForce 430 motherboard. I am attaching my dump (from ubuntu, where the sound works) with this post. I am using the JaS 10.4.8 version with Semthex 8.8.1 kernel. sigmatel.txt
JeroenJ
Computer Type: Laptop (Sony VAIO FE 21M) Sound Card Vendor: Sigmatel Sound Card Model: Stac 9225 Vendor Id: 0x83847661 Working: Internal speakers, headphone jack, SPDIF (docking) Not Working: stereo jack (dock) Internal Mic, Mic-jack Patcher Version used: 1.2.0 System Version: Leopard 10.5.1 obs: - OSX finds a mic, but none of them are working correctly --> I steel need to try it out in linux - I'll still have to try with Leo & a newer version - I have to manually select the destination of the sound (spdif, internal speakers or jack) is this normal ? didn't have to do it in XP, in Vista I only have to select SPDIF or all others together. if i unplug my headphone then my internal speakers work automatically - dump was created in ubuntu 6.x, I might want to try a newer linux version extra: attached codec dump gives support for spdif via the docking station where other dumps didn't for me dump file
